Public health officials in Canada have warned consumers not to use GD ground cumin because it may contain salmonella. Though there have been no reported illnesses with the product, which is distributed throughout Canada, the product is being voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer while the investigation continues. Officials remind consumers that food contaminated with salmonella will not necessarily smell bad or look any different from non-contaminated food.
