NY GOURMET PRODUCTS RECALLED

May 9, 2008 · No Comments

Gourmet Boutique, a New York food company, is recalling almost 300,000 pounds of its fresh and frozen meat and poultry products because of possible listeria contamination. According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), the contamination was discovered through sampling by their officials and those of the Florida Department of Agriculture.

The recall includes some three dozen different food products manufactured by the company, which calls itself “a USDA approved manufacturer of high quality, preservative-free specialty foods.” There have been no illnesses associated with the products as yet.
