SALMONELLA FROM SALMON?

July 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment

It’s a conundrum: you can get salmonella from tomatoes and peppers, but what can you get from salmon? Listeria. For that to happen right now, though, you’d have to live in Texas or New Jersey.

Vita Food Products, of Chicago, is recalling its salmon products from Kroger stores in Houston and various grocery stores in New Jersey because of possible listeria contamination. No reports of illnesses as yet.
